Smith Island is a secluded island off the southern coastline of Burma and off the eastern side of North Andaman Island. Diglipur, the largest and farthest town of North Andamans is 290 KMs from Port Blair, and Smith Island is another 45 minutes by a local fisherman boat (dungie).
