The waters off Rutland Island are rich in marine life with the shallow waters near the island having a good representation of smaller fish and coral. Cinque Island sanctuary is located south of Rutland Island and is spread over an area of 9.51 sq. km with its beautiful beaches, coral reefs and a sand-bar. There is also a ship wreck site nearby.
