Previously used as a war fortress, on detailed study of its architecture, findings of an earlier ‘pleasure pavilion’ concealed within the outer stone-lime mortar walls of the fortress are clearly visible. Apart from intricately carved marble pillars and arches, a beautiful ‘baoli’ (step-well) is positioned at the heart of the structure.
